John has had the honour to represent our area since 2001. In the last Parliament John was the Liberal Democrats Shadow Secretary of State for Business and sat on the Treasury Select Committee.

John, along with Jamie Stone MSP and our local Councillors, is part of the strong Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross Lib Dem team. A team committed to fighting for our area and for the Highlands as a whole.

St Duthas Special School earns Eco-School status

Local MP John Thurso has welcomed the choice of experienced Councillor Robbie Rowantree as the Highland Liberal Democrat candidate for the new Holyrood seat of Caithness, Sutherland and Ross. Sitting MSP Jamie Stone announced this summer that he will be standing down at the next election after more than 25 years public service as a Councillor and as an MSP since the creation of the Scottish Parliament.
