George Lyon - Liberal Democrat Member of the European Parliament for Scotland

George Lyon was elected as Liberal Democrat MEP for Scotland on the 8th of June 2009. George is a former Minister in the Scottish Parliament and was head of the Scottish National Union of Farmers. George has been campaigning hard for lower fuel taxes in rural areas and successfully opposed SNP plans to privatize our forests. He aims to give the Highlands and Scotland as a whole a stronger voice in Europe and has the experience to do that.
